Therese Anna-Marie (Poirier) Moore

Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Therese (Poirier) Moore, announce her passing on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital. Therese was 79 years of age.
Born on May 10, 1931 in Bathurst, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Elzear and Rose Delima (Corriveault) Poirier.
Therese had a long struggle with cancer for over 30 years, showing strength and determination throughout that time. She loved being in her garden, going shopping and finding a good bargain whenever she could. Many who knew her would refer to her as the “Sweet Old Lady”. Therese was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Therese will be remembered by her children, Cynthia (Scott) Johnson of Point de Bute, N.B., Kim Moore of Sackville, N.B., Mark (Denise) Moore of Nfld and Monique Moore of Sackville, N.B. and by her grandson, Nathan Moore of Cold Lake, Alberta. She was one of 10 children and leaves behind many brothers and sisters.
Besides her parents, Therese was predeceased by her husband Bruce Moore in 2005.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Therese’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A grave-side service will take place at the Westcock Cemetery, Westcock, N.B. on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 1 PM with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the nurses in the ICU and Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton Hospital.
Donations in memory of Therese may be made to the Westcock Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund , Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.
