Shirley Eudine (Sears) Estabrooks
August 1, 1920-June 22, 2010Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Shirley E. (Sears) Estabrooks, of Sackville announce her passing on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Drew Nursing Home. Shirley was 89 years of age.
Born in Midgic, N.B. on August 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alice M. (Estabrooks) and Hersey L Sears.
Shirley will be sadly missed by her two sons, Steven Estabrooks (the late Marilyn Estabrooks) of Hamilton, Ontario and Peter (Brenda) Estabrooks of Lindsay, Ontario; one sister, Marjorie (Mrs. Merton Bice) of Sarnia, Ontario; one brother, Basil Sears of Sackville, N.B.; six grandchildren, Douglas, Kim, Leslie, Rodney, Jimmy and Randy; nine great-grandchildren, Cameron, Madeline, MacKenzie, Bryce, Hailey, Coltin, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Devon and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; son, Leslie; grandson, Eric; sister, Selma and by her five brothers, Roderick, Curley, Ward, Hudson and Logan.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2 PM at the Middle Sackville Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will follow in the Four Corners Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
