Richard Douglas Morice

December 30, 1951-June 10, 2009

Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Richard D. Morice announce his passing following a battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Richard was 57 years of age.

Born on December 30, 1951, in Sackville,N.B, he was the son of Reta (Wells) Morice and the late Bill Morice.

Dick was a truck driver with Atlantic Wholesalers for 22 years and enjoyed trucks, camping and hunting. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be remembered by many for his wonderful personality and great sense of humour.

Dick will be remembered with love by his wife of 39 years, Darlene (Goodwin); his daughters, Christy (Neil) and Lori; his mother Reta (Wells); his sister Debbie (Ronald) and his brothers, Chris, John, Gary (Sylvia), Jeff and Darrel (Kathie); several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces; special aunt Marcie and cousin Dave (Diane).

He was predeceased by his father Bill in 1995.

Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge, Sackville, N.B. (364-818). In keeping with Dick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service. A private family burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery, Westcock, N.B.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dick may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.

Darlene and the girls would like to thank Dick’s many wonderful friends, neighbors and co-workers for their visits, love and support during his illness, Dr. MacDonald and staff of the Amherst Hospital, Dr. Assi, Dr. Rojas and the Oncology units at both the Moncton Hospitals. Thank you to Dr. Milne and the nursing staff at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Special thank you to Chris and Marg and the Extra Mural nursing staff at the Sackville Memorial Hospital for their care and support the past few months.
