Dorchester, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Laurence (”Jack”) McFarlane, announce his passing on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Laurence was 69 years of age.Laurence was born on May 25, 1940 in Amherst, N.S.
He greatly enjoyed going to flea markets and at one time was a dealer in antique cars, coins and stamps.
Laurence will be sadly missed by his partner Theresa Lake of Dorchester, N.B.; his children, Velvet McFarlane of Dorchester, N.B., Vicky Wells (Scott Chapman) of Dorchester, N.B., Robert (Jacqueline) St. Amand of Cambridge, Ontario, Amanda McFarlane of Moncton, N.B., Mindy (Holly) Fairbairn of Edmonton, Alberta and Lacey McFarlane (Shannon Wall); nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Laurence’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
