Jeanne Carlyle Williams

March 16, 1935-March 29, 2012
Jeanne Carlyle Williams died peacefully on Thursday, March 29 in the Sackville Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77, after a short fight with cancer.

Jeanne was born in St. Stephen, N.B. to Maude (Brown) and Flavis Allen.

Shortly before her passing, Jeanne took time to write the following: “my greatest accomplishment is raising three great kids-all of whom I am equally proud. I thank them for being so attentive at this time and love them with all my heart. Thanks also to a special friend, Shirley Downey. We go back to ages 2 and 3. She has been there since then and I love her dearly-a true pal!”

Jeanne is survived by her children, Jeff (Judy Flecknell) of Tatamagouche, N.S.; Jane (Joanna Belajac) of Toronto, ON and Jennifer (Dave Clark) of Fredericton, N.B.; her grandsons, Drew (Ottawa), Garth (Halifax) and Brett (Halifax); her brother, David (Margaret) Allen of Sarnia, ON; her brother-in-law, David (Madelyn) Williams of Saint John, N.B. and her nephews, Bruce, Bob, Christopher and Paul.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years, John Douglas in 2007.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, (506) 364-8188, from where visitation will take place on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Catherine Gaw officiating. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, N.S., next to John, will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Jeanne may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Born To Read New Brunswick program.

The family also wishes to thank Dr. Beatrice Milne; the staff of the Sackville Hospital and Jeanne’s many friends near and far, for their care and support.

Remember me as you pass by,

Where you are now so once was I.

Where I am now so you will be,

Prepare in time to follow me.
