James Wesley Sears
January 24, 1955 - June 1, 2009Upper Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of James W. Sears, announce his passing at his home, on June 1, 2009. He was 54 years of age.
Born on January 24, 1955, in Sackville, N.B., he was the son of the late Robert and Georgie (Farrow) Sears.
James was known to most as “Stag”. He loved music, especially the harmonica and was also known for his dancing abilities, acquiring the nickname, “crazy legs”. He loved animals and was the proud proprietor of Forest Nomes Incorporated (a.k.a. “Tree Frogs”).
James will be sadly missed by his 11 brothers and sisters, Lillian (Kenneth) Trudel of Ottawa, Ontario, Robert of Sackville, N.B., Beverley Johnson of Halifax, N.S., Mary Fawcett of Sackville, N.B., Daniel of Moncton, N.B., Gladys (Robert) Estabrooks of Sackville, N.B., Marjorie (Terry) Bastarache of Moncton, N.B., Reynolds (Margaret) of Jolicure, N.B., Helen Sears of Dorchester, N.B. and Aileen Sears (Kevin) of Point de Bute, N.B., Phyllis (Peter) Wheaton of Midgic, N.B.; several nieces and nephews and four great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his grand nephew Orion.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B.(364-8188). Cremation has taken place. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 7-9 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home. A memorial service is to be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 1 PM, from Campbell’s Funeral Home, with Rev. Hal Lowther officiating. Burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.
Donations in memory of James may be made to the Upper Sackville United Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.
