Duncan Russell MacLeod
Sackville, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Duncan R. MacLeod, announce his passing on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Duncan was 61 years of age.
Born on September 30, 1947, he was the son of Jean (Brison) MacLeod and the late Russell MacLeod.
Duncan loved his family, especially his children. He was a fan of Bluegrass music, fishing, camping, hunting and enjoyed walks on the beach.
Duncan will be sadly missed by his mother, Jean MacLeod; spouse, Shelley Duncan; sons, John Duncan MacLeod (J.D.), Russell MacLeod (Rusty) and Christopher MacLeod (Ooshi); step-son, Ryan Duncan; siblings, Heather McGinnis, Carol (Ralph) McKinley, Anne MacLeod, David (Amanda) MacLeod and Angela (Philip) Morgan; granddaughter Samantha; several nieces and nephews and one great-niece.
He was predeceased by his father Russell MacLeod in 1997.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 from 7-9 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Rev. Bill Drysdale officiating.
Donations in memory of Duncan may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund, Canadian Lung Association or to the charity of one’s choice.
