Alexander Paul Burden

Sackville, N.B. - It is with sadness that the family of Alexander Paul Burden announce his passing on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Alex was 23 years of age.

Born on October 12, 1986 in Moncton, N.B., he was the son of Michael and Margaret-Ann (Wilson) Burden.

Alex had a wonderful sense of humor, and in spite of his shy personality he loved people and was very friendly. He was an amateur gemologist and enjoyed geography, history and reading about exotic cars. Alex loved to travel and was especially fond of England. He enjoyed music and loved to drive. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend.

Alex will be sadly missed by his parents, Michael and Margaret-Ann (Wilson) Burden of Sackville, N.B.; his sister, Krista Burden and his brother Benjamin Burden, both of Halifax, N.S.; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Wilson of Fredericton, N.B.; five Uncles, Robert Wilson, Christopher (Barbara) Burden, Nicholas (Ruby) Burden and Peter (Mexie) Burden, all of Fredericton, N.B. and Ivan Morrissette of Pembroke, Ontario; two Aunts, Martha Gillrie and Beverley DeLong, both of Fredericton, N.B. and by his cousin, Melissa Wilson of Fredericton, N.B.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Harry Wilson; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Iris Burden; his Aunt, Penny Morrissette and his cousin, Elizabeth Morrissette.

Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and the family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 1-4 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fredericton, N.B. on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters officiating.

Donations in memory of Alex may be made to the Harvest House (Moncton, N.B.), Karing Kitchen (Moncton, N.B.), Nazareth House (Moncton, N.B.) or to the charity of one’s choice.
