Adrian Austin King
1947-2009
Dorchester, N.B.- The death of Austin King occurred at his home in Dorchester, N.B. on Thursday, July 2, 2009.
Born in Sackville, N.B. on May 15, 1947, he was the son of Norma (Read) and the late Adrian King.
Austin was retired form Atlantic Wholesalers where he was employed in the print shop for 33 years. An avid hunter and outdoors man, Austin enjoyed quiet walks on the shore and in the woods. A friend to all, he loved to spend time with his family and read.
Austin will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Mary (Carter); his daughter, Dr. Arienne King of Halifax, N.S.; his mother, Norma King of Woodpoint, N.B.; two sisters, Linda (Wayne) Wheaton; Marlene (Wilbur) Read and brother Brian King, all of Woodpoint, N.B.; his aunt, Sylvia Ison of British Settlement, N.B.; his uncle, Elliot of Springhill, N.S.; several nieces and nephews; brothers and sister-in-law and three great-nieces.
He was predeceased by his father Adrian King; father-in-law, Thomas Carter; mother-in-law, Joyce Carter and brothers-in-law, Charles Rhodes and William Blakney.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Family will recieve visitors on Friday, July 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 2 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Skaling officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Austin may be made to the Rockport Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society, Research Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
