			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.campbellsfuneralhome.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/david1.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-659" src="http://www.campbellsfuneralhome.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/david1.jpg" alt="" width="254" height="367" /></a>Sackville, N.B.- David MacPherson McKay, well known and highly regarded journalist for more than 44 years, left us quietly in the early hours of Thursday at the Sackville Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Dave would have celebrated his 88th birthday in September.</p>
<p>Born in Yarmouth, N.S., on September 24, 1922, he graduated from Yarmouth County Academy before attending Dalhousie and Mount Allison Universities. While at Mount Allison he began his journalistic career at the Argosy and survived a fire which destroyed his campus residence. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in 1945.</p>
<p>Dave continued his journalistic career in Halifax, joining the Canadian Press prior to moving to the Moncton Times-Transcript where he remained for 19 years, serving as reporter and advancing to sports editor then to city editor. In 1965 he left to become editor of the weekly Sackville Tribune-Post, later becoming a co-owner of the highly successful paper. While at the Tribune he penned the popular “Hear &amp; Their” column, collaborated with Wallie Sears in writing “This Is Sackville” and edited a number of other publications.</p>
<p>He earned the respect of his colleagues including such well known journalists as Howie Trainor, Jim Nichol and Ed St. Pierre.</p>
<p>David McKay was predeceased by his parents, Curtis and Lena McKay; two sisters, Mary McKay and Margaret Cann, as well as by his daughter, Linda (Lea) Dixon of Vancouver.</p>
<p>Survivors include his wife Dorothy (Stone) McKay (the OB-BW) of Sackville; two sons- Bruce of Saskatoon and David of Sackville and one daughter Heather McKay Richard of Sackville; one nephew- Andy Cann of Wolfville; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188) and at the request of Mr. McKay, there will be no funeral service. Memories will be shared at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.</p>
<p>Anyone wishing to make donations in memory of David may do so to the NB Lung Association, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.</p>

Haynes, announce her passing at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, July 24, 2010.</p>
<p>Born on August 24, 1922 in Bayfield, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Annie (Allen) and William Rayworth.</p>
<p>Estella enjoyed gardening and was a pet lover, especially liking horses. She was past-president of the African Violet Society and the Lionettes in Saint John, N.B. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.</p>
<p>Estella will be sadly missed by her husband of 23 years, Harry Haynes of Aulac, N.B.; daughter, Juanita (Tingley) Wry of Sackville, N.B.; sister, Betty (Wallace) Cudmore of Riverview, N.B.; two grandsons, Kent (Margot) Tingley of Saint John, N.B. and Andrew (Andrea) Fairweather of Hampton, N.B.; nephew, Harold (Sue) Kinnear of Sudbury, Ontario; several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>She was predeceased by her daughter Lois and her grandson Jason in 1987 and by her son-in-law, Gordon H. Tingley in 2009.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Estella’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 1-2:30 PM at which time the memorial service will be held with Rev. Hugh Davidson officiating. Burial will take place in the Point de Bute Cemetery.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Estella may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Portage, N.B.- It is with sadness that the family of Sandra C. MacDonald announce her passing at her home on Sunday, July 19, 2010. She was 49 years of age.</p>
<p>Born on July 25, 1960 in Miramichi, N.B., she was the daughter of Ella (Searle) Macdonald and the late Hazen MacDonald.</p>
<p>Sandra loved her family with all her heart. One of her greatest pleasures was to have friends and family gather to share the outdoors and soak up the sun. She enjoyed baking with her oldest grandchild, Kylie, was very proud of her youngest grandson, Justice, learning to speak english as she couldn’t understand french and loved long conversations with her grandson Joey. She loved her dogs, Shadow and Sage. Sandra was a person who was beautiful inside and out , generous and caring to other people. She was always there for anyone who needed someone to talk to or who needed help in some way. Sandra was a strong woman in every way and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grammy and friend.</p>
<p>Sandra will be sadly missed by her husband, David Brine of Portage, N.B.; two daughters, Christina MacDonald (Joshua St. Peter) of Dieppe, N.B. and Allison Wescott (Mario Boudreau) of Haute Aboujagne, N.B.; her mother, Ella MacDonald of Sackville, N.B.; one sister, Sharon Macdonald (Catherine Keir) of Ottawa, Ontario; two brothers, Kevin MacDonald (Katherine Jorgenson) of Sackville, N.B. and Royce (Kelly) MacDonald of PEI; three grandchildren, Kylie and Joey MacDonald of Dieppe, N.B. and Justice Wescott of Haute Aboujagne, N.B.; one niece, Mallory MacDonald and nephew Matthew MacDonald.</p>
<p>She was predeceased by her father, Hazen MacDonald in 2005 and by her Uncle Robert (Edythe) Dickson.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 2 PM with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.</p>
<p>Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of ones choice.</p>

<p>She was born April 29, 1919 in Beech Hill, N.B. to Howard Ogden and Vida (Mitton) Ogden.</p>
<p>Upon the death of her husband Maurice in 1965, she continued to operate the family farm with her sons, and retained an active interest in the farm her whole life. She was a long-time member of the Upper and Middle Sackville Women’s Institute and the Middle Sackville Baptist Church as well as a supporter of the local 4-H program.</p>
<p>In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by her sisters-in-law, Eleanor, Ruth, Jean and Kathleen Brooks; brothers-in-law, Norman, Ora, Lorne, Fred, Frank and John Brooks, Dudley Steeves and nephew Gregory Steeves.</p>
<p>Eleanor is survived by her sister, Hilda Steeves Fullerton of Riverview, N.B.; daughter, Judith (John) Carlisle; sons, Richard (Shirley Ann), Harold (Sherry), Kevin (Karen) all of Upper Sackville, N.B.; foster son Leslie (Ruth) Kennie of Shepody, N.B.; grandchildren, Clayton (fiancee Shannon), Nadine and Jeffrey Brooks, Alysha and Kerri Sears; sisters-in-law Winifred Brooks and Joyce O’Neill of Sackville, N.B., Hilda Brooks of Springhill, N.S and several nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 2 PM with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will take place at the Four Corners Burying Ground, Upper Sackville, N.B.</p>

<p>Born in Midgic, N.B. on August 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alice M. (Estabrooks) and Hersey L Sears.</p>
<p>Shirley will be sadly missed by her two sons, Steven Estabrooks (the late Marilyn Estabrooks) of Hamilton, Ontario and Peter (Brenda) Estabrooks of Lindsay, Ontario; one sister, Marjorie (Mrs. Merton Bice) of Sarnia, Ontario; one brother, Basil Sears of Sackville, N.B.; six grandchildren, Douglas, Kim, Leslie, Rodney, Jimmy and Randy; nine great-grandchildren, Cameron, Madeline, MacKenzie, Bryce, Hailey, Coltin, Kaitlyn, Kyle and Devon and many nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; son, Leslie; grandson, Eric; sister, Selma and by her five brothers, Roderick, Curley, Ward, Hudson and Logan.</p>

Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 7-9 PM. <p>Born in Sackville, N.B. on March 1, 1962, she was the daughter of Geraldine L. (Coombs) and the late Corey W. Estabrooks.</p>
<p>Wendy enjoyed music, taking part in many activities and loved her teddy bears. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.</p>
<p>Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her mother Geraldine (Coombs) Estabrooks of Sackville, N.B. and by her many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>She was predeceased by her father, Corey Estabrooks ; her brother Nolan Estabrooks and by her maternal and paternal grandparents.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with the families wishes there will be no visitation. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 3 PM at Campbell’s Funeral Home with Pastor Morris Mills officiating. Burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.</p>
<p>Donations in memory of Wendy would be gratefully accepted to the Drew Nursing Home, Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund or to the charity of one’s choice. Wendy’s family would like to thank the staff of the Drew Nursing Home and all of the people who looked after her over the years. Your kindness will not be forgotten.</p>

Therese was 79 years of age.</p>
<p>Born on May 10, 1931 in Bathurst, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Elzear and Rose Delima (Corriveault) Poirier.</p>
<p>Therese had a long struggle with cancer for over 30 years, showing strength and determination throughout that time. She loved being in her garden, going shopping and finding a good bargain whenever she could. Many who knew her would refer to her as the “Sweet Old Lady”. Therese was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.</p>
<p>Therese will be remembered by her children, Cynthia (Scott) Johnson of Point de Bute, N.B., Kim Moore of Sackville, N.B., Mark (Denise) Moore of Nfld and Monique Moore of Sackville, N.B. and by her grandson, Nathan Moore of Cold Lake, Alberta. She was one of 10 children and leaves behind many brothers and sisters.</p>
<p>Besides her parents, Therese was predeceased by her husband Bruce Moore in 2005.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Therese’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A grave-side service will take place at the Westcock Cemetery, Westcock, N.B. on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 1 PM with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the nurses in the ICU and Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton Hospital.</p>
<p>Donations in memory of Therese may be made to the Westcock Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund , Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.</p>

James was 74 years of age.</p>
<p>Born in Newcastle Creek, N.B. on May 19, 1936, James was the son of the late James Walter and Nellie May (Weeks) Dobson.</p>
<p>James loved life and enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.</p>
<p>James will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Sarah (MacKenzie) Dobson of Baie Verte, N.B.; six children, Margaret Rayworth of Tidnish, N.S., Ann (Hector) Dobson of Coburg, N.B., Marlene (Bruce) Haynes of Tidnish, N.S., Paula (Ray) Dobson of Moncton, N.B., James Dobson of Brandon, Manitoba and Michael (May) Dobson of Baie Verte, N.B.; three sisters, Doreen, Ina and Madeline; one brother Wesley; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>He was predeceased by his two grandsons, Warren and Justin; sisters, Clara, Evelyn, Carol, Lillian, Ethel and Mildred and by his brother Arthur.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with James’ wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will take place at a later date in the Baie Verte Cemetery, Baie Verte, N.B.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund, Diabetic Association or to the charity of one’s choice.</p>

Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Alex was 63 years of age.</p>
<p>Born on July 9, 1946 in Middle Sackville, N.B., he was the son of the late Gaius and Rena (Hicks) Hicks.</p>
<p>Alex was employed with Moloney Electric until retirement and prior to that drove the oil truck with Irving. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, tinkering with old cars and lawnmowers. Alex loved being Santa for all of the family children, telling stories and making everyone laugh. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.</p>
<p>Alex will be sadly missed by his wife Geraldine (Estabrooks) Hicks; two daughters, Lisa Green (Jean Green)of Scoudouc, NB and Jacklyn Hicks of Midgic, N.B.; three sisters, Lorena Lewis, Dora Snowdon and Flora (Elmer) Mitton; one brother, Donald (Lorraine) Hicks; step-grandson, Jesse LeBlanc, of Cap-Pele, NB and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>He was predeceased by three sisters, Olive Patterson, Jean Stone (Oshawa, ON), Connie (infancy) and three brothers, Denver Hicks (Oshawa, ON), Thorald Hicks &amp; Robert (infancy).</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and the family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 6-8 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11 AM with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will take place in the Midgic Cemetery.</p>
<p>Donations in memory of Alex may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Lung<span style="medium;"> </span>Association, Kidney Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.</p>

<p>Born on January 10, 1916 in Timber River, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Fannie (Trenholm) Olsen.</p>
<p>Margaret will be greatly missed by her son, Olsen Allen of Sackville, N.B.; grandson, Craig (Kim) Allen of Moncton, N.B.; one granddaughter, Tanya Allen of Sackville, N.B.; two great-granddaughters, Katelynn Allen of Moncton, N.B. and Ashley Arsenault of Moncton, N.B.; three nephews, Junior Olsen of Sackville, N.B., John Olsen of Oakville, Ontario and Donald Olsen of Halifax, N.S.; niece, Nancy Healy of Halifax, N.S. and many great-nieces and great-nephews.</p>
<p>She was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Allen ; by her second husband, Albert Fillmore and by her two brothers, Sanford Olsen and Weldon Olsen.</p>
<p>Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, May 10, 2010 from 1-3 PM. A grave- side service will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 2PM at the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin, N.B. with Bill Drysdale, DLM officiating.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.</p>
